I am vastly experienced working as a child and Youth Theatre Director. 

​

I have taken children and young people to local, regional and national theatre festivals. We have developed pieces through writing, play, puppetry and music. 

 

I was Artistic Director for Slow Theatre Company between 2011 & 2023.  I am trained as Designated Person in Safeguarding  with a current DBS, and am a registered Chaperone with Norfolk County Council.

I am available for one-off workshops, theatre runs or festival workshops. I have delivered workshops in acting, character, drama, in front of camera, and make-believe for regional festivals, fun days, fundraisers and corporate events. I have also used theatre with children in other parts of the world, in other languages and with other cultural traditions.

Children living with ASC

I have delivered a nurturing group for children age 3 – 7 for five years, and directed many children age 6 – 18 who have ASC. If you think I can offer your group, or child something then get in touch. I can attend groups, develop a personalised class for a group of children or come and play with a group of siblings/friends that may need help in the following:

• sharing and taking turns

• eye contact (this is never forced)

• talking in imaginative ways – making up stories

• coping with social interactions, especially difficult in group setting

Safeguarding Consultant:

I have had Core Safeguarding training for the past 6 years and Designated Officer training for over 11 years. I have been responsible for safeguarding of children and young people for countless arts/community groups.
